PollMaker

What is it?

PollMaker is just what it says. It lets you create polls, add parties, see results and track turnout changes over time. Great for making fictional scenarios or visualizing real data.

Motivation

I made this app for myself because I needed a better way of visualizing polls in my country. PollMaker does not only let you see individual polls, but the entire polling history for individual parties with polling results averaged out for each polling period. This is helpful for spotting trends, making predictions, or seeing how the electorate flows from one party into another.

How is it made?

PollMaker is made with the following Swift frameworks:

SwiftUI – user interface
SwiftData – app storage
Observation – data flow
Swift Charts – drawing charts

Can I try it?

Currently, if you want to give PollMaker a try, you'll have to grab the source and compile it yourself (which is really not too difficult). I don't plan on making releases because I'm lazy and this project is very much a work in progress
