Foxes & Friends

Due to an incident which occurred a few weeks ago, involving several simultaneous security breaches at our testing facilities, management has, after long and thoughtful consideration, decided to shut down most F&F operations. It has occurred to us that we are no longer able to keep up with the social and moral obligations this technological field requires from us, and which we have, after all, advocated for since our founding. For this reason we feel obligated to gracefully and swiftly suspend F&F to prevent any future mishappenings.

Models which are currently supported by F&F, including the fox-1 and fox-2 models, will continue receiving software patches at least for the foreseeable future. These bots are generally regarded safe and stable in every day functions, and while we aren't necessarily encouraging customers to keep them, keeping them is also not a risk. Concerning previous models which are no longer receiving updates (including the fox-1 prototypes), it is recommended to dispose of these at your nearest F&F recycling center, which will remain operational until January of next year. This is advised because we cannot guarantee safety and stability of models that are out of support.

F&F as a legal entity will cease to exist in the following months. We don't know the exact dates yet, however we can assure our customers that all key services, such as recycling centers or software patches for supported bots, will remain active past our dissolution as mentioned above. These services will be maintained by either government agencies or non-profit organizations, and it will be their responsibility to keep you informed about future developments.

As unfortunate as the current situation might be, we are still infinitely thankful to all customers who kept choosing our services and supporting us on our journey. This definitely wasn't what we had in mind when founding F&F, however every journey is a lesson, and let our journey be a lesson to anyone who might attempt something similar in the future.
