New Site
foxden.one has been created using nothing but plain HTML and CSS (and a tiny bit of JS). No web frameworks, no preprocessors. Besides, for a tiny personal website, I don't think you need much more. I did use an SSG though (Zola), as copy-pasting the same code for every single page isn't really what I'm into. I also appreciate being able to write blog posts in Markdown.
In terms of graphics, I didn't create everything myself. Here is a list of resources I used:
- HabraPack Social Icons for, well, my social media icons
- The 88x31 GIF Collection for finding cool buttons
- Material Icons for a few UI icons
The background of the site is something I did make myself with Affinity. It's just some symbols that are often used in programming (in particular C programming) which is a big a hobby of mine. And that's about it. I think this iteration of my site turned out quite nicely and it's certainly my favorite design out of all I created. Hopefully I don't get bored of it after 2 weeks and try redesigning again!
